We are a contemporary studio focused on using the highest quality fabrications and manufacturing processes whilst being produced within Aotearoa New Zealand.
Founded in December 2020, Thom Morison is an independent menswear studio dedicated to creating everyday pieces of the highest quality. Owner and designer, Thom Sussex, works in the studio as a pattern maker and samples each piece in-store to slowly build each collection. Every single garment is rigorously tested - it must be highly comfortable, considered and functional. The studio is located at 598 Great North Road, Grey Lynn, Auckland and we welcome guests to visit, view, try on, chat and purchase the collection.
The origins of the Thom Morison brand lies in Thom’s long standing appreciation for the traditional artisan craft of menswear. Thom has always been intrigued by the level of detail that goes into every piece and the idea that it's often only the wearer who truly realises how special it is. Our goal is to make superior quality, timeless pieces made up of simple lines but still have a sense of individuality and charm. A respect for the time-honoured traditions of menswear design, updated with a contemporary feel.
Thom Morison recognises our responsibility to lower our impact on the planet. As a small independent brand we are faced with some limitations that prevent us from being where we would like to be. However, we truly believe that day by day through a desire and willingness to learn, grow and place importance on this vision, we can reach a gold standard.
Our fabric and trimmings are all carefully hand sourced with the notion of wanting our pieces to be timeless and of a superior quality for you to enjoy for a long time. Therefore we strive to use the best materials we can source, with a special focus on sustainable and natural fibres like cotton, wool and linen. Each garment is sewn by a local atelier who has been carefully selected to deliver the highest quality for you to enjoy for years to come.
