Thom Morison was founded by Thom Sussex following a year of self-discovery while living abroad in Stockholm, Sweden, in 2019. By late 2020, Thom had established the studio in the inner-city suburbs of Auckland, New Zealand, with a vision to create the new standard in menswear through quality, innovation and authenticity.
Drawing on a decade of personal dedication to mastering the art of garment development, Thom Morison was founded on three core principles: fabric, form, and function. The brand embodies a relaxed contemporary aesthetic, focusing on the everyday wardrobe influenced by our fascination of blending utilitarian design with elements of traditional tailoring.
Each Thom Morison garment is designed to be of the highest quality, timeless beyond trends and is made up of clean lines while still having a sense of individuality and charm. Our partnerships with the world’s best fabric producers and manufacturers ensures each piece is crafted for you to enjoy now and for years to come.

We believe in sharing the process each Thom Morison piece takes. Each garment is carefully considered from start to finish; we partner with a hand selected network of premium, bespoke mills from around the globe, and produce locally by a tight knit group of passionate ateliers.

From the initial concept to final sampling, our design process takes place inside our Auckland studio which doubles as our retail space. This way of working allows every person who steps through our door to connect with the people behind the brand and gain insight into what goes into making each piece.
